This is one of those things that everyone gets at some point in their life, its annoying and painful. but i’m not talking about the more trickier issues like a slipped disk or sciatica, Im speaking of that stiff feeling in your lower back you might get from standing too long.
One of the main causes of this type of lower back pain can be weak glutes, so all that pressure from walking around and staying upright is focused in the lower back, when where we should be activating is those bum cheeks. so here is our top tip for this week, when you wake up, get in the habit of doing 10-20 hip bridges x 3 before you get up and dressed. This simple move activates your gluteus maximus so your butt will remember what its job is through the day. try this each day this week and feel the difference.
